چکیده

Introduction: The Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT) is an inexpensive method to objectively evaluate physical capacity or limitation and stratify prognosis in patients with Heart Failure (HF). Since the clinical perception of symptoms may be adapted compromised, regular evaluation from medical interviews often fails determine functional classification. This study aimed assess correlation between New York Association Functional Class (NYHA-FC) distance walked 6MWT. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional observational that included HF reduced ejection fraction followed up at outpatient service teaching hospital, August 2018 April 2019. Patients NYHA-FC I, II, III were included. compared subjectively obtained during consultation 6MWT performed after consultation, these two parameters was assessed. Results: 70 HF, 41 (58.6%) whom female. mean age 61.2 ± 12.7 years. most prevalent etiologies dilated idiopathic cardiomyopathy (35.7%) by ischemic (25.7%). 34.1% 9.8%. average I 437.8 95.8 meters, II 360.1 96.4, 248.4 98.3. class measured different than estimated 34 (48.6%), 23 (32.9%) for higher 11 (15.7%) lower one (p = 0.07). Pearson’s coefficient -0.55. Conclusion: There moderate subjective revealed classification almost half patients. Among those who presented discrepancies methods, reclassification towards more common.

The Correlation Between the Six Minute Walk Test and Spirometric Parameters in Patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Introduction: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disease affect nearly every organ system. Pulmonary involvement, which is a common manifestation of SLE, can remain undiagnosed if asymptomatic. This study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of spirometric findings in early detection of silent pulmonary involvement and examine its correlation with the six minute walk test in SLE pa...

Heart Rate Recovery in the First Minute at the Six-Minute Walk Test in Patients with Heart Failure

BACKGROUND Heart rate recovery at one minute of rest (HRR1) is a predictor of mortality in heart failure (HF), but its prognosis has not been assessed at six-minute walk test (6MWT) in these patients. OBJECTIVE This study aimed to determine the HRR1 at 6MWT in patients with HF and its correlation with six-minute walk distance (6MWD). METHODS Cross-sectional, controlled protocol with 161 ind...
